Ko Phil Baker ahau
Kei Ōtautahi ahau
Ko Ngāti Patumoana te hapū
Ko Waiaua te marae
I have grown up in the Canterbury rohe and live here still, although it is my dream to move up to Ōpōtiki in the near future to learn more te reo and better connect with my whanaunga.
I currently work for The Parenting Place – a charity that seeks to see healthy and happy families and young people all throughout Aotearoa. My role is as a specialist communicator, going into high schools to spin yarns, tell stories and promote positive thinking, decision-making, and mental wellbeing for our rangatahi.
Outside of work I love the beach, my church, studying history and theology, and eating amazing as kai. In the future I hope to be fluent in Te Reo, and more deeply connected with our whanau, our whakapapa and our whenua.
